United Pharmatek’s Fluid Bed Dryer offers the outstanding advantages of efficiency and product uniformity achieved with fluid bed dryers. The process uses high-pressure air to atomize a liquid binder solution, creating binder droplets in a fluidized bed that cause liquid bridges between the discrete particles, thus increasing granule size. The advantage of this process is two-unit operations – drying and granulating – are accomplished in a single processing step. Microprocessor control of airflow, inlet air temperature, and drying period, together with fluid bed action, gives highly reproducible batches and finished samples. Granules produced by this method are highly porous and quick solvable, which is commonly used in pharmaceutical, chemical, and foodstuff industries worldwide.
Fluid Bed Dryers are commonly used for process applications, which require excellent product uniformity, particle size, moisture content, and morphology. These granulators are rugged and precision built, to achieve consistent batch-to-batch repeatability. This granulation technology has been widely used in the food ingredient, agricultural, nutritional, and powdered chemical industries.
